The Data Engineer will work closely with data architects, scientists, and software engineers to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure access to structured and unstructured datasets. Accountabilities
The Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer will:

Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data models and pipelines in cloud-based environments, with a focus on BigQuery and other data warehousing technologies

Implement and manage data storage, partitioning, and clustering strategies to ensure high performance and reliability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives, security standards, and data governance practices

Develop, maintain, and document SQL, Python, and ETL processes to support AI/ML and data-driven workflows
-
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing validation and error-handling mechanisms
-
Continuously identify opportunities to improve data management processes, from ingestion to reporting layers

For senior-level team members: provide technical guidance, participate in code reviews, assess solutions for scalability and security, and support continuous improvement of internal standards and documentation
Requirements
Candidates should possess:

Data Engineer: 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data solutions in cloud-based environments

Senior Data Engineer: 8+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, including BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform
-
Proficiency in SQL and Python to manipulate, store, manage, and retrieve data assets

Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data architecture

Familiarity with Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills

Ability to communicate effectively with global team members, clarify requirements, and deliver solutions within timelines

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or equivalent experience

Targeted starting base salary in the U.S.: $60,000 - $160,000 USD, with potential for bonus and commission based on experience and role
