About Metric

Metric has been serving clients for more than 10 years, helping businesses grow through strategic marketing, design, and storytelling. We’ve been recognized nationally and regionally for our success, including being named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the Midwest three times and receiving multiple regional awards for high growth and impact.

As a faith-based organization, authenticity has guided us for over a decade. Now, we’re embracing an even greater purpose: to devote ourselves to authentic marketing for authentic brands. We believe our work should promote truth, integrity, and authenticity in the world—and that storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to do so.

Our culture is one of humility, growth, and wisdom. We seek people who are spiritually and personally mature—who listen deeply, serve others, and pursue wisdom while bringing their best every day.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Content Manager (full-time) to lead the planning, creation, and execution of content across written, social, video, and visual formats. While written content (blogs, articles, web copy) is the core of much of what we do today, this role will also oversee and grow content across social media, podcasts, video, and imagery.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller and strategist who can produce excellent writing, guide a team of creators, and ensure every piece of content—no matter the medium—reflects authenticity, creativity, and impact. You’ll collaborate closely with the SEO team to align with best practices, while also establishing guardrails for AI/LLM use so our clients’ voices remain authentic and strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the planning and production of content across formats, from long-form writing to social, video, and podcasts.
  • Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices, client goals, and authentic brand voices.
  • Establish standards for AI/LLM use, ensuring tools enhance—not replace—creativity and voice.
  • Provide direction, feedback, and high standards for writers, editors, and creators.

Content Creation & Editing

  • Write and edit blogs, web copy, and social content.
  • Adapt stories across channels (snippets, scripts, visuals, campaigns).
  • Maintain clarity, creativity, and consistency across all deliverables.

Social & Multimedia Growth

  • Oversee content for organic social channels and campaigns.
  • Support the development of podcast, video, and visual storytelling initiatives.
  • Explore new creative formats to engage audiences.

Collaboration

  • Partner with SEO to align content with research and performance insights.
  • Work closely with account managers to translate client goals into content strategies.
  • Provide thoughtful recommendations to clients on what’s next in their content journey.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A writer and storyteller first—passionate about the craft of words and ideas.
  • A leader who can mentor and manage content creators while producing excellent work.
  • A creative strategist who protects authenticity while exploring new content formats.
  • Spiritually and personally mature—wise, humble, collaborative, and committed to growth.
  • Someone who rejects mediocrity, pursues excellence, and embraces change with positivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in content writing, editing, or journalism.
  • Strong portfolio of written content (blogs, articles, web, or editorial).
  • Experience managing writers, editors, or content creators.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to align content with them.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, podcasts, and video content.
  • Comfortable with AI/LLM tools, with discernment around their appropriate use.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

COMPENSATION & DETAILS

  • Salary: $54,000 – $76,000 annually, negotiable depending on experience.
  • Full-time role, in-person collaboration required.
  • Flexible schedule with room for creativity and growth.

BENEFITS

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Parental leave
  • Vision insurance
