JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will serve as the senior-most technology leader across Health Alliance Global and its core platforms, including Dr Triage, Symphony360 (enterprise EHR competitor), and affiliated healthcare technology initiatives. This executive will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s enterprise-wide technology vision—ensuring the scalability, security, and innovation of all clinical, administrative, and operational systems.
As both a strategic leader and hands-on technologist, the CIO will manage internal engineering teams, third-party vendors, infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, enterprise software products, and system integrations. The role will also collaborate closely with product, clinical, compliance, and commercial teams to ensure all platforms meet rigorous technical, regulatory, and performance standards required in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Strategy & Leadership

Define and execute the company’s overarching technology strategy in alignment with business goals and clinical outcomes

Build a multi-year roadmap for platform development, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, and digital innovation

Serve as the key executive interface between technology, operations, and executive leadership

Support strategic expansion into domestic and international markets, with scalable and compliant technical infrastructure
Product Architecture & Engineering Oversight

Lead technical strategy for Symphony360 and other applications, the organization’s proprietary enterprise EHR and data platform

Direct the design, development, and optimization of software products, including Dr Triage’s mobile diagnostic unit integrations and virtual care systems

Champion adoption of microservices, HL7/FHIR standards, and interoperable architectures

Implement agile methodologies and DevSecOps frameworks to accelerate delivery and maintain quality
Enterprise IT Infrastructure

Oversee the design and operation of secure, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure across multiple facilities and mobile deployments

Manage hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) to support distributed teams, providers, and partners

Ensure reliability, performance, and uptime across all enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HRM, telehealth, and diagnostic tools

Supervise business continuity planning and disaster recovery protocols
Cybersecurity & Compliance

Establish a robust information security strategy aligned with NIST, HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable federal/state regulatory requirements

Oversee cybersecurity risk assessments, audits, incident response planning, and data protection frameworks

Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure all platforms and integrations meet regulatory, privacy, and security mandates
Data, Analytics & Integration

Lead enterprise data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives across platforms

Ensure data governance, integrity, and actionable insights that support patient care, financial performance, and operational decisions

Oversee health information exchange (HIE), interoperability protocols, and third-party system integrations (e.g., VA, CMS, payer systems)
Vendor & Partner Management

Select and manage strategic vendor relationships, including outsourced development teams, cloud services, cybersecurity partners, and EHR module providers

Lead all technology contract negotiations, SLAs, and performance audits

Support M&A or joint venture technology integrations
Team Development & Culture

Build and lead a high-performance technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning

Develop internal leadership and succession planning across technical departments

Cultivate partnerships across product, clinical, compliance, and business development functions
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required; advanced degree (MS, MBA, or MPH) preferred
Experience
:
-
Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CIO, CTO, or SVP-level role within healthcare, health IT, or a highly regulated technology environment

Experience building or managing enterprise EHR/EMR platforms strongly preferred

Track record of leading cloud-native architecture, data interoperability, and scalable health software deployments
Skills & Expertise
:

Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cyber risk management

Proficiency in regulatory compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH, ONC, VA/CMS requirements)

Strong product lifecycle management and agile development leadership

Experience integrating with federal healthcare systems (VA, DoD, CMS) is highly valued

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Salesforce, and mobile health solutions is a plus
