Job Description

Golf Business Network (GBN) is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Business Development Manager to drive expansion of our vendor partnerships and maximize their impact across our network. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and growing strategic vendor relationships while identifying new business opportunities that align with the needs of GBN’s member clubs.


The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and marketing—bringing strong relationship-building skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to translate vendor offerings into meaningful value for the GBN ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new vendor partnerships that align with GBN’s member needs.
  • Build a scalable pipeline of vendors and sponsorship opportunities across golf, lifestyle, and adjacent industries.
  • Develop proposals, deliver presentations, and negotiate contracts that drive measurable revenue growth for GBN.
  • Consistently meet and exceed acquisition, engagement, and retention goals for vendor partners.

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Act as the primary relationship manager for vendors—ensuring ongoing satisfaction, ROI, and long-term growth.
  • Design and manage innovative partnership programs that enhance vendor visibility and provide tangible benefits for GBN members.
  • Facilitate seamless onboarding and integration of new vendor partners into the GBN platform.

Marketing & Brand Integration

  • Collaborate with marketing to design co-branded campaigns, vendor promotions, and sponsorship activations.
  • Drive vendor visibility across GBN’s channels (website, social media, newsletters, webinars, and live events).
  • Coordinate vendor participation in summits, workshops, and digital events to maximize exposure and engagement.

Data, Insights & Reporting

  • Track vendor performance metrics and generate regular reports on KPIs, conversions, and revenue impact.
  • Use data insights to inform business strategy and optimize partnership outcomes.
  • Monitor industry and competitor activity to ensure GBN’s vendor strategy remains competitive and forward-thinking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Membership, Events, and Marketing teams to build integrated initiatives that benefit both vendors and members.
  • Explore new categories and industries to expand the vendor network and create innovative business opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales (experience in golf, sports, or membership-based industries a plus).
  • Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRMs and marketing tools
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to generate insights from performance reports.
  • Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A passion for the golf industry and private club market is a strong plus.
