We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Coach and SME to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of work intake and workflow management practices across teams. This role will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on expert in Azure DevOps (ADO), guiding teams in adopting best practices for Agile delivery, DevOps workflows, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of ADO, strong facilitation skills, and a passion for enabling teams to deliver high-value work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Coaching & Enablement
• Serve as a coach and mentor to teams on Azure DevOps usage, Agile principles, and workflow optimization.
• Lead workshops and training sessions to drive adoption of ADO best practices across the organization.
• Provide expert guidance on configuring boards, pipelines, and automation to support team-specific and enterprise-wide goals.
Work Intake & Prioritization
• Design and implement scalable work intake processes in ADO, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and technical leads to triage and groom backlogs effectively.
• Establish and refine acceptance criteria and intake governance models.
Workflow Design & Optimization
• Architect and maintain custom workflows in ADO, including boards, pipelines, and automation rules.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in delivery processes, promoting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Ensure traceability and visibility of work items across teams and projects.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating strategic goals into actionable work items.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and process refinement meetings.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and delivery health.
Governance & Best Practices
• Define and enforce governance standards for ADO usage, including role-based access control and workflow policies.
• Promote Agile and DevOps maturity through coaching, documentation, and community-building efforts.
• Support compliance and audit readiness through structured work tracking and reporting.
