Summary

Dwell brings you the best contemporary home design and ideas for making your own space a great place to live. We are seeking an editor to oversee our popular newsletter program as well as support our presence on all other social platforms—Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Apple News, and more. The ideal candidate is passionate about the intersection of design across all topic categories and reaching new audiences with that information. This role will report to our Visual Media Producer.

Responsibilities

• Curate the content mix for our daily, weekly, and monthly email newsletters.
• Drive new subscriptions by working with the Editorial and Art teams to develop new email franchises and evolve the Dwell voice.
• Manage email and social media calendars.
• Track email performance and share insights to inform Dwell’s engagement strategy and email product roadmap.
• Post across Dwell’s social media platforms, developing content with support from the Art and Editorial teams.
• In tandem with Dwell’s Visual Media Producer implement and iterate on the brand’s social media strategy.
• Work with the Sales team to schedule partnership newsletters and social media posts.
• Work with Apple News on the experience of Dwell on that platform, and set the strategy around push notifications for the brand.
• Advise on content asset creation, sharing platform-specific needs with the Editorial and Art teams as they schedule shoots and assign stories.
• Analyze audience data across platforms and make recommendations to improve returns on content production investment.
• Identify areas for growth by looking at new platforms and formats.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of editorial editorial, social media, or newsletter experience.
• Strong editorial judgment and copyediting skills.
• A love for exploring new social strategies.
• Proficiency with social platforms and tools.
• Excitement about working with a small, tight-knit team.
• An obsession with thinking about how spaces can help us live better, together.
