About the Opportunity
The Assistant Director - Student Activities Business Office supports the Senior Associate Director in delivering comprehensive financial, accounting, and budgeting services to over 1,000 accounts for student organizations and units within the Student Center. The role involves providing customer service through the Student Activities Business Office (SABO) and managing financial operations for 500+ student groups, including the Resident Student Association (RSA), National Resident Hall Honorary (NRHH), Resident Halls, Hall Council, Student Government Association (SGA) Finance Board, and Graduate Student Government. Key financial responsibilities include conducting monthly procard analysis and reconciliation for Resident Directors, performing monthly reconciliation of RSA and Resident Hall indexes, and auditing RSA operations as necessary.
The Assistant Director also encompasses significant leadership and educational responsibilities, including serving as Chair of the Resident Activity Fee (RAF) Review Committee and annually updating the RAF Manual. The role requires conducting extensive training and workshops for various stakeholders, including Center for Student Involvement Program managers, student groups, RSA, and Resident Halls on SABO and RAF policies and procedures. Additional duties include serving as eRezlife Administrator, acting as Co-Budget Advisor to the SGA Finance Board and Graduate Student Government, attending SGA Finance Board meetings to report outcomes, and delivering financial and programming seminars for the Office of Residential Life and Services to clarify RAF processes.
