Position Summary
Coordinate and monitor aquatics program activities including the operation and maintenance of an assigned pool and/or splash pad and hiring of aquatic instructors and life guards; implement program goals and objectives and perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or physical education or a related field; and
Four (4) years of aquatics program experience; and
To include one (1) year lead or supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid C.P.R./AED for the Professional Rescuer or lifeguards.
Possession of a valid First Aid certificate.
Possession of a valid Lifeguard certificate.
Possession of a valid Lifeguard Instructor certificate.
Possession of a valid Pool Operators License within six (6) months from date of hire.

Basic operations, services and activities of an aquatics program

Principles and practices of aquatics program development and implementation

Principles and practices of pool operation and maintenance including proper water chemistry levels

Principles and procedures of water safety, first aid, C.P.R. and AED

Marketing theories, principles and practices and their application to aquatics programs
