Analog Layout Senior Staff Engineer, 73 Marvell Technology Italy S.r.l., IT

Job Description

About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, automotive, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

As an Analog Layout Staff Engineer at Marvell, you’ll be part of the Central Engineering business group, which serves as the core hub of innovation and development within the organization. Think of Marvell as a wheel, where Central Engineering represents the center hub that provides critical IP used across various business units, including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking.

You’ll join a focused and dynamic analog team that makes a significant impact on Marvell’s success. The organization’s ideal size and structure offer a unique environment: you’ll have the opportunity to explore various aspects of engineering, gain exposure to new challenges, and still have the time and freedom to dive deep into your specialization for most projects. This role offers the perfect balance of breadth and depth to grow your expertise while contributing meaningfully to the company’s innovations.

What You Can Expect

  • Create layouts, run simulations, and verify designs using Cadence Virtuoso in collaboration with global teams.
  • Partner with designers to refine and debug designs iteratively, ensuring they meet specifications.
  • Own the full development cycle, including floor planning, layout, verification, delivery, and support.
  • Provide technical mentorship and status updates during routine meetings with the layout team, project team, and broader global teams.
  • Adapt to dynamic project priorities with flexibility and a proactive attitude.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and knowledge-sharing within the team.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (graduate or undergraduate) with a strong understanding of fundamental electrical concepts.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for implementing microelectronic design layers beyond schematics.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-speed or precision analog circuits, preferably across multiple process nodes.
  • Experience managing tasks ranging from individual cells to full interfaces or chips.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with global teams, present updates, and share information effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while taking ownership of tasks and contributing to team success.

Additional Compensation and Benefit Elements

With competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity. We’re dedicated to giving our people the tools and resources they need to succeed in doing work that matters, and to grow and develop with us.
