Job Description

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE


Reporting to the Sr. Account Executive, the main responsibility of this role will be managing a portfolio of existing wholesale clients, and driving organic sales growth by identifying, analyzing, and actioning selling strategies.

This is a dynamic role that requires confidence, attention to detail and a flexible attitude for ultimate success in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should possess a passion for luxury fashion and sustainability and are eager to grow within a tight-knit team.

Successful candidates for this role must have prior experience in fashion wholesale, existing relationships with specialty clients and a firm understanding of the department store business.


RESPONSIBILTIES


STRATEGY

  • In partnership with the Sr. AE, help execute the global sales strategy in line with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Manage sales forecasting, financial reporting, and regularly review and present key takeaways to Sr. AE, while presenting topline insights to Senior Management team
  • Monitor sales performance by Account/Door/SKU/Price Bracket to devise strategies to drive business
  • Work with Sr. AE on merchandising recaps to present to Design and Production teams, establishing appropriate product mix and merchandising strategy / pricing architecture.


ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Serve as point of contact for wholesale partners for daily communication; nurture existing relationships and develop new partnerships in line with growth objectives.
  • Review, analyze and feedback weekly on sales activity with Senior Management team.
  • Work closely with retail partners to drive performance by proactively managing stock levels through swaps, RTVs and reorders.
  • Manage seasonal Training Guidelines and Online Styling Directives to share with commercial partners and internal teams (preparing materials, conducting seasonal trainings).
  • Build close relationship with Personal Shopping and in-store/DSA teams to understand business needs.
  • Manage wholesale marketing calendar and Co-Op, partnering with Press team for samples, and coordinating with studio teams for product shoots.
  • Monitor and create weekly shipping reports to understand flow of goods; actively monitor and drive upload timings / receiving of goods in store.
  • Work closely with Finance on A/R consolidations.


MARKET

  • Schedule market appointments and manage seasonal showroom calendar.
  • Together with Account Coordinator manage Paris market (incl. appointment bookings, sample movement, model and intern coordination, showroom preparation, asset preparation).
  • Manage JOOR platform and order flow (order entry and OC distribution).
  • Compile historical business and sales recaps by client in advance of market appointments.
  • Collaborate with buying teams to ensure all final orders are representative of the brand in terms of product assortment and positioning.
  • Exercise financial literacy and retail math skills to negotiate budgets and meet/exceed seasonal sales goals.
  • Flexibly manage ad hoc tasks upon request to support all sales channels of the business.


IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in wholesale, knowledge of US market imperative (international wholesale experience a plus).
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency and analytical skills are a requirement. Required knowledge of Excel formulas (PivotTables, VLOOKUPS, IF formulas, etc.)
  • Ability to travel domestically for store visits and internationally for Paris market (20-30%)
  • Business and results driven individual, with an ability to work under pressure, meet firm deadlines, and manage an evolving timeline of projects.
  • Detail oriented, and highly organized with an ability to effectively prioritize workload.
  • Team player who thrives in an environment where work is a collaborative effort shared among many.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new software quickly and effectively (experience with JOOR and RLM a plus).
  • Proficiency in one or more foreign languages a plus (preferably French or Italian)
