The AI/ML Engineer integrates AI/ML capabilities into the data mesh, supporting metadata automation and ethical AI use aligned with DoD Responsible AI guidelines.
Responsibilities:

Automate metadata extraction using ML

Validate AI/ML pipelines and produce readiness reports

Ensure explainability, drift detection, and compliance in testbeds
-
Support data-driven innovation for clinical and operational analytics
What We Look for:

Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; normalization and denormalization
-
Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools
-
Design and implementation of scalable data warehouses and data lakes
-
Ability to design efficient data solutions based on business needs

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field
Great if You Have:

Experience supporting the DoD or other federal agencies in a data-centric role

A Master’s degree is preferred but not required

Expertise in NLP, OCR, and DoD AI guidelines

Familiarity with Advana’s analytics tools
