We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ruby on Rails Principal Developer to join our team. As a Principal Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Ruby on Rails applications. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance Ruby on Rails applications. 

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features and enhancements. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, operations, sales, etc., to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. 

• Security Domain experience is preferred but not mandatory. 

• Someone with GREAT communication skills that can be a great culture fit with the company. 

• A team player - someone who can take and give advice. 

• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, enforce coding standards, and Git best practices. 

 

 

Qualifications 

• At least 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of the framework's principles, conventions, and best practices. 

• Proficiency in Git, including experience with branching, merging, and managing code repositories. 

• Proven track record of designing and building scalable and high-performance Ruby on Rails applications. 

• Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices. Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman. 

• Familiarity with API security standards and implementation, including authentication and authorization mechanisms. 

• Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. 

• Proficiency in database systems, such as PostgreSQL. 

• Experience with front-end frameworks like React is a plus. 

• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and technologies. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 

• Must be available to work USA time zone (9am EST – 5pm EST)

• Experience understanding DevOps is a plus.
