Service Manager – C. A. Russell Automotive Group | Full-Time

Location: One of our C. A. Russell Automotive Group dealerships
Schedule: Full-time | On-site | Monday–Saturday availability preferred

C. A. Russell Automotive Group is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Manager to join our fixed operations leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dealership service department, driving customer satisfaction, team performance, and overall departmental profitability.

The ideal candidate is an experienced service professional with strong leadership skills and a hands-on management style who is looking for a long-term role with growth potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service department operations including advisor workflow, technician dispatching, and overall efficiency

  • Lead, support, and coach advisors, technicians, and support staff

  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (e.g., ELR, hours per RO, CSI, CP/RO count)

  • Ensure consistent, professional communication with customers and resolution of concerns

  • Maintain manufacturer compliance and dealership operational standards

  • Manage service scheduling, capacity planning, and shop flow

  • Collaborate with parts, sales, and warranty departments for streamlined operations

  • Participate in the hiring, training, and performance management of service team members


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a dealership service management or senior service advisor role

  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills

  • Proven ability to achieve fixed operations goals and manage customer satisfaction

  • Familiarity with dealership systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Xtime, etc.)

  • Understanding of warranty procedures and manufacturer compliance

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening


Preferred Qualifications:

  • OEM experience (Ford, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, etc.) preferred

  • Manufacturer fixed ops training or certifications

  • Experience managing both main shop and Quick Lane operations
